滝野町の姉妹都市であるホリスター市（アメリカ、カリフォルニア州）から英語指導助手として、２回お越しになった、マーク・エリス先生からも、応援のメッセージが届きました。マーク先生は、現在サンフランシスコ近郊の太平洋に近いペスカデロという町のペスカデロ中学校で、数学の先生をしておられます。

Hello to everyone at Takino Middle School!   Do you remember me?  I have lots of good memories about teaching at your school and living in Takino.  How are you?

I am living near the coast in California now.  I teach at Pescadero Middle School.   I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math and science.  I am also the homeroom teacher for the 7th grade.

The town of Pescadero is VERY small - population of about 800 people.  We have only 60 students in the middle school!  Yes, it's smaller than Tojo Town.

How is the weather in Takino?  I miss the fall colors of the leaves on the trees.   We do not have such colors here in California.  But I do see the Pacific Ocean every day on my drive to work.  I have sent a  picture of a lighthouse that is near Pescadero.  My class stayed there in a youth hostel overnight last May.  We had lots of fun! I will try to send some pictures of my students soon.

Please write back to me. If you are interested, I can find some of my students to write to you, too.  It will be a nice way to learn about life in a small U.S. town.  And you can practice your English.
